Peggy Shippen Part 1: Victim or Mastermind?
In 1802, Peggy Shippen was in England when she received a call from the future …
In her youth, Peggy Shippen lived a charmed life. Her father was a respected man of the community and spoiled his daughters with nice dresses and a premier education for women of the time. Then, in her late teens, she married Benedict Arnold. Once the nightmare of his treason began, it never ended.
In this episode she will discuss the absurdity of people thinking she was the mastermind of the treason plot.
Plus, her proof that she was not romantically involved with John Andre, the man ultimately hung for the treason.
And finally, she will name the man who should be hung for pushing Benedict Arnold over the edge.
Before these conversations, I assumed Peggy was guilty. After the conversation, I don’t know how she could be.
