In Part 2 of the 1835 phone call with David Crocket, he’ll be sharing a few hilarious stories with us. How he encouraged people to vote for him, whether or not he killed a bear at three-years-old, and the correct action to take when you hear a deep, angry growl, and your rifle is empty.

It’s no wonder David Crockett was so popular in his time and loved as a congressman. He did what was right, but also was not above stoking the media fire to enhance his reputation.

Towards the end of this episode, he shares his thoughts about why he was going to Texas and what he expected would happen. Sadly, what he was hoping for and what happened were very different.
